![]() ![]() I really regret I didn't get a Keychron Q60 instead. The control key functionality can be actuated by pressing the Caps Lock key. Also, when I looked at QMK's website, apparently there's a V3 firmware you download from a Google Drive but I was like, what?! It's not in QMK, what's even on it?Īll these headache isn't worth it. HHKB Layout is referred to as the Happy Hacking Keyboard layout considered a very small computer keyboard because it comes with only 60 keys (Blank space on Ctrl key placement) with a unique bottom row while retaining full-size keys. For HHKB/split right shift and split backspace printed layouts, custom printed keys will be included: 1.5U size Delete key, 1U key, 1.5U Caps Lock, 1.75U Left Ctrl, 1.75U right shift, and 1U Fn. Identifying which PCB I actually have is also PITA, because apparently there's a V2.1 that uses the same PCB that has V2 printed on it. I offer a hardware layout modification service for a small extra charge (split or un-split keys only) email me for details if interested. PPS: The PCB v2 has downgraded from an STM32F303 to a puny Atmega32U4, so you probably can't try out VIAL. PS: the stabs aren't great either, they aren't even clipped and need a lot of tuning. Lastly, this is the thing that pisses me off the most, the keys on the sides will pop out of the hotswap PCB or the plate if you press too hard due to the second reason above.įor such a shoddily cobbled up HHKB kit that doesn't even come with switches and caps, it's probably only worth about $50, but the cheapest kit is double that and doesn't even come with shipping. Fourthly, some of the stab holes aren't even the same size as the others lol. Thirdly, the plate has many holes designed for a regular WKL version, but the case doesn't support that, all these holes are just there to mess up the sound. Second of all, the sides don't have any gaskets, so the keys on the far left and right bend down more. First of all, the super-bendy PC plate is defeated by the regular DZ60RGB WKL PCB, which doesn't have any flexi-cuts. While I've never been a fan of any kind of flexible gasket mount, the gasket sandwich in the D60lite is just absolutely awful. The biggest problem I have with the board are the plate and PCB sandwich. Well, there's the USB-C, but that's a minor issue.
